Maharajji (Swami Keshavananda)

Swami Keshavananda, otherwise known as Maharajji, is one of the foremost disciples of Sri Sri Bhagavan, and is one of the first six monks in the International Vedanta Society order. Maharajji was born in 1954 in Guwahati, Assam of India. In 1987, when working as a supervisor at Indian Railways, he was growing restless in trying to understand the usefulness of life since one day death will cease it. It seemed to Maharajji that everything in the world was like a game, and someone behind the scenes was making people play it. Overcome with a burning desire to realize the truth behind life and death, Maharajji began vigorously searching for the answer all over India. Suddenly he came into contact with Sri Sri Bhagavan, who gave him a clear sign that truth does indeed exist.

Maharajji says that Bhagavan became "My master, my everything, my soul". Since then many years have passed with numerous spiritual experiences. And now Maharajji is sharing with all that God Himself has come down to earth to play a great Divine Role. "I and You are simply His."
