Swami Prahladananda was born in Guwahati India in the year 1979. He met Sri Sri Bhagavan in 1989 when he was just 10 years old. After associating with Bhagavan for 16 years, swamiji decided to embrace Brahmacharya in 2005. Five years and a number of spiritual realizations later, swamiji embraced full monkhood (sanyasa) in 2010.
Swamiji has lectured at various academic and social institutions, both in India and in his visits to Europe. Today (2018), swamiji serves as the Joint General Secretary of International Vedanta Society, and runs the Society's ashram in New Bongaigaon, Assam, India.
