Location: Atmananda Yoga NYC, 112 E 23rd St #200, New York, NY 10010

Event description: In this five-week workshop, we will learn the system of Vedanta that when contemplated and practiced in daily life, will take us across the river of sorrow and suffering; permanently establishing ourselves in the True Self - the pure consciousness behind it all. Through Vedanta, we transform our lives into ones of love, peace, connection, understanding, and unshakeable inner strength and dignity, allowing suffering to dissolve like a mirage.

These teachings have been practiced and passed down in India in their pure form for over 7000 years, creating enlightened souls like the Buddha, Sri Ramakrishna, Ramana Maharshi, Sri Nisargadatta, Michael Langford, and Sri Sri Bhagavan. Our presenter Yuriy has been traveling to India to study with Bhagavan and is offering this unique opportunity to learn how to apply these amazing practices for a more peaceful life.

Four spiritual yogas will be discussed in this workshop: Jnana Yoga (embodying discernment and truth), Bhakti Yoga (growing with love and devotion), Karma Yoga (purifying our daily actions in service), and Raja/Ashtanga Yoga (meditating and exploring the inner world). The four yogas are complimentary pieces of a jig-saw puzzle that when combined in consistent practice, create total healing and liberation of the soul. Join us in learning more about the history of yoga philosophy and how you can apply these practices in your life to feel more love!

Note: Attendance of all sessions is recommended to get the full benefit, but it is okay to drop in to one or more of the sessions as well. Meetings will start promptly at 12, please arrive 10mins early so you have time to check in at the front desk and set up a comfortable seat for yourself in the studio room.
